Terms and Conditions
RUDAJO is the digital branch of Ru Graphics & Printing LLC, a business based in Queens, New York. This page explains how we work: what to expect from us and what we expect from you.
We wrote it in plain language on purpose. There is no fine print. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain it before you start working with us.
Who this applies to
These terms apply to anyone who uses rudajo.com and to anyone who hires us for printing or digital work.
If we take on a larger project and sign a separate written agreement, that agreement governs over this page wherever the two conflict.
What we do
On the physical side: signs, menus, business cards, banners, custom apparel, and other printed work.
On the digital side: website design and development, Google presence, online ordering, social media management, and graphic materials.
Not every service is available at all times or for every type of business. We define that in the quote.
Quotes
Every quote we give is for the work described in it, with the specifications described in it. If the size, material, quantity, scope, or number of pages changes, the price changes.
Prices shown on the website are starting points, not final prices. The final price comes from the quote.
A quote is valid for a reasonable period. Material and printing costs change, and if enough time passes we may need to quote again.
Payment
We work with a 50% deposit to begin and 50% on completion.
Work begins once we receive the first 50%. Not before.
The remaining 50% is due when the project is finished and before final delivery, publication, or the transfer of any files and access credentials.
For printing, that means the product goes out with the final payment. For websites, it means the site is published with the final payment.
We do not process payments on the website. We do not ask for or store card numbers on rudajo.com.
Cancellations
If you cancel before we have started working, the deposit is refunded.
Once the project has started, the 50% deposit is non-refundable, because it covers planning, design, development time, and resources already assigned to the project.
If you cancel after work has started, you do not owe the remaining 50%, but the deposit stays.
Once a job has gone to print, it can no longer be cancelled. The material is already used and the cost is already incurred.
If we are the ones who cannot complete a job for a reason on our end, we refund what you paid for the portion not performed.
Proofs and approval
Before printing or publishing, we send you a proof to review.
Review it completely: text, prices, phone numbers, addresses, hours, and spelling. You know your business better than we do. We cannot know whether a price or a phone number is wrong.
When you approve the proof, that is the file that gets produced. If an error that was present in the proof shows up after approval, the reprint or correction is charged separately.
If the error is ours — something we changed after your approval, or something that does not match the proof you approved — we fix it at no cost.
Changes and revisions
Every job includes a reasonable number of adjustments to the agreed idea. That is included in the price.
Changing direction midway is different: redoing a design from scratch, changing the whole concept, or adding sections that were not in the quote is quoted separately.
We tell you before we charge it, not after.
Color in printing
The color you see on your screen is not the color that comes out on paper or vinyl. Screens emit light and ink reflects light. They are different systems.
We work to get as close as possible, but reasonable color variation is not considered a defect and does not entitle you to a free reprint.
The same applies between two runs of the same job produced on different dates, and between different materials.
What you give us
When you give us a logo, a photo, text, a typeface, or any material to use in your job, you are confirming that you have the right to use it.
We do not verify ownership of materials provided by the client. If a third party makes a claim over something you gave us, that claim is yours.
Low-resolution files look bad printed large. If the material you give us does not have the quality needed, we tell you before producing.
Ownership of the work and the files
The domain name is owned by the client.
When you pay for a job, you receive the finished product and the right to use it according to the service you hired: the sign, the printed menus, the published and working website, the file ready to use.
RUDAJO retains ownership of the website design, the code, the structure, the source files, the editable files, and any other development materials created by RUDAJO, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
What that means in practice is that if you want to change something tomorrow, you ask us and we do it quickly, because the original file is stored.
If you need the source files for a particular reason, talk to us and we will discuss it. It is not a closed door: it is a condition agreed separately and in writing.
Websites: domain and hosting
The first year of domain and hosting is included in the project price.
From the second year onward, the client is responsible for the annual renewal cost. We notify you before the renewal date so you can make the payment.
The website stays online only as long as the necessary renewals are paid on time. If it is not renewed, the site stops being available.
The domain name is owned by the client. If we manage it for convenience, you can request control at any time.
Website maintenance — menu changes, new prices, new photos, updates — is not included in the price of building it, unless the quote says so. It is a separate service.
We are not responsible for server outages, problems with the hosting provider, or changes other people make to the site after delivery.
Delivery times and client materials
The timeframes we give are good-faith estimates, not promises to the exact day.
Delivery times start once RUDAJO has received all the materials, information, and access needed to carry out the project.
If the client is late providing photographs, text, access, content, or approvals, the project timeline extends accordingly. RUDAJO is not responsible for delays caused by materials or approvals pending from the client.
Things we do not control — a supplier, a shipment, a power outage, the weather — can move a date. We tell you as soon as we know.
Finished work not picked up
If a job is finished and paid for but not picked up within a reasonable time, we contact you. After a reasonable period with no response, we cannot keep storing it indefinitely.
Portfolio and promotion
RUDAJO reserves the right to publicly show the work produced for its clients as part of its portfolio and commercial promotion. This includes publishing, on the RUDAJO website, social media, and promotional materials, images or references to the work produced, as well as the business trade name, logo, website, and other elements of the business that are already public.
RUDAJO will not publish private or confidential client information, including passwords, access credentials, financial information, customer data, or private statistics.
If for any reason you would prefer that we not show your project, talk to us and we will discuss it.
What we do not promise
This matters and we would rather say it here.
We do not guarantee Google rankings, number of visits, number of followers, number of calls, or increased sales. Nobody working honestly can guarantee that, because it does not depend only on the work we do.
What we do is build our part well: a site that is fast, organized, technically correct, and honest in what it says. The result also depends on your product, your service, your price, your competition, and the market.
If someone promises you guaranteed results, be suspicious.
Website content
The text, images, designs, and articles on rudajo.com are ours or used with permission. Do not copy them for commercial use without asking us.
The Menu articles are general information, not professional advice for your particular case. When we discuss permits, rules, or requirements, always verify with the relevant official source before making a decision.
Links to other sites
Our work section links to client websites, and articles link to official sources. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for their content.
Limit of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We are not liable for indirect losses: sales that did not happen, missed opportunities, or damages arising from a delay or a production error.
Privacy
How we handle your information is explained separately, in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
If we change how we work, we update this page and change the date at the top.
Work already quoted and with a deposit is governed by the terms in effect when we agreed to it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, regardless of where the client is located.
